SCOOP or SWERVE: Emmy Edition

So now that we’ve had a day to let it all sink in and read all the post Emmy fashion reviews here is our final thoughts on the red carpet looks.  I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t completely thrilled about Sunday night’s Emmy Awards  Red Carpet Fashion. I think most stars played it safe…and those that dared to be “different”…well looked a hot mess.
Here’s my Scoop or Swerve list of Sunday  night’s looks!

This was my ABSOLUTE favorite look!! I don’t care how many times I see this dress on the red carpet, it’s amazing!!

A Grecian masterpiece! The layering, the color contrast, this look is everything!

I read on a few other sites that critics hated this dress. Au contraire I actually love it! I’m obsessed with the sheer bodice and completely love the crisscross detail!

Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan (Image: Getty Images)

I’m kind of loving Naeem Khan right now! And I ADORE Leslie Mann, she’s one of my favorite actresses!!! I think this dress is absolutely perfect on her! The detailing is impeccable and the bright burst of color is completely cute! I also love that she paired the look with turquoise Lorraine Schwarz jewerly. I know I dress like a Ninja, but this is probably my 2nd favorite look!

Blah, Ugh…where do I start…I get the whole ladylike thing, but this dress is beyond matronly and needs to be sent back to the costume department of Breaking Amish…I can’t, it’s awful

There is a such thing as bad black…and this is it. From the bat wings to the old lady sparkle to the nightgown underneath…I can’t deal with this dress. It’s Mortcia Addams’ Sunday’s best..but only worse.

May the Fashion Gods forgive me….but this dress looks like it came straight from the Jessica McClintock section at Dillard. I hate it. I hate the bubble gum color, the top is ill fitting and the bow-tie halter isn’t fresh at all. The extra high bouffant isn’t adding to the look at all. I get the Herrera often does the amazing skirts and dresses with the same silhouette…but this is nauseating.
