Looks like singer Leona Lewis is trying to rain on Rihanna’s reign!

British singer Leona Lewis told The Daily Star that she recorded the song “We Found Love,” which is the huge hit single by Calvin Harris and Rihanna, first!

Lewis says that she recorded the song but it was never released because she wanted to go with a different lead single for her album. The songstress says that the production and version of Rihanna’s song “We Found Love” was the same as hers!

“It was the same version and production but mine’s is better,” said Lewis to The Daily Star.

Whoa.

The song “We Found Love” did exceeding well selling millions of copies and was number one in 25 countries. Lewis was nevertheless frustrated about the success of the song.

“It was a bit annoying to see how big a hit it was around the world, but if I’d release it maybe it wouldn’t have done as well,” said Lewis.

That’s probably true, considering that Rihanna and Leona Lewis International success aren’t comparable (for example, while Leona Lewis has under 800,0000 followers on twitter,  Rihanna has over 26 million).

The British singer says that she does have a copy of her version of “We Found Love,” but she will not leak it because it would be “unprofessional” of her.

“There are so many songs I’ve recorded, only to hear other people singing them. It happens all the time,” said Lewis.

Oh, Well.

Would you guys like to hear Leona Lewis version of “We Found Love?” Do you think her version of the song is better than Rhi’s?
